Chris Russell

In my previous role I have been a Pastoral Missioner in the Darlington and Teesdale Circuit. A job with many facets and hopefully I learned skills which I can bring with me to my role here.

I am a Darlington lass born and bred and until a couple of years ago I still worshiped at the church where I was christened and married but then God led us on, as a whole church, to close our building and plant a new church in the north of the town. This was very exciting and more than a little scary but God is doing some amazing things there and it's a real joy to be part of it.

Married to Brian for over 40 years, we have a daughter a son and two crazy but gorgeous grandsons who keep us on our toes.

I aspire to be a crafter and knitter but truth is I'm not very good at them and have a mountain of unfinished projects stashed all over the house. I do enjoy baking, which I do finish, reading and, when we have time, going to the cinema.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and to sharing in the new things He has in store for us here in this circuit.
