The latest worship sheets from District are in the Worship section of Publications. The worship sheet is looking at Ruth, for Bible Month. The Lectio divina is looking at the lectionary reading in Matthew.

Between 15th and 21st June we mark Refugee Week including World Refugee Day on 20th June. It seems most appropriate that we are reading Ruth at this time. Our prayer sheet encourages us to remember refugees, the homeless, isolated and hungry.

Sunday 14th June is Methodist Homes Sunday. This year the theme is kindness, inspired by the book of Ruth and the care given by volunteers and MHA colleagues. There will be a virtual memorial service on YouTube at 3pm and available thereafter to watch. This will remember the lives of residents and Methodist Homes staff who have died as well as the many others affected by Covid-19 across the world. For detail of how to join the service go to the website: https://www.mha.org.uk/get-involved/campaigns/mha-sunday/

Racial Justice:
The Stay Alert campaign, recent events and the Black Lives Matter protests have placed a spotlight on some of the injustices in our world. The Baptist Union produced a 'wonderful youth' group resource for Black History Month (2019), it was created for Black teenagers. It may be timely to use this resource with groups of any age or ethnicity as we seek to understand the injustices which exist which can be found in the General items section of Publications on this site.
