Webteam: June 2020
Our worship resources for the next 4 Sundays, provided by District, will focus on the Old Testament book of Ruth which was chosen as the focus for Bible Month 2020. Each week we will take one chapter of the book and highlight a particular character from the unfolding story. Ruth is said to be a book about 'bread and belonging', but there is much more to discover as we hope you will agree as we explore together. In week 1 the focus is on chapter 1 and Orpah.
The book of Ruth begins with famine forcing a family leaving their homeland and take refuge in another country. Between 15th and 21st June we mark Refugee Week including World Refugee Day on 20th June. It seems most appropriate that we are reading Ruth at this time. Our prayer sheet encourages us to remember refugees, the homeless, isolated and hungry. There is also a Journal to take us through the month.
The sheet below mentions using Bible Gateway, the link is here.
