The Methodists in Newton Aycliffe, a friendly congregation, meet at the church on Neville Parade. Methodism in Aycliffe goes back as far as 1868 when Woodham Primitive Methodist Society was established followed in 1880 by a Methodist presence in Simpasture.
The land for the present buildings was bought in 1954 and continues to adapt the buildings to serve the present age.
Most recently the 'Small Hall' has been transformed in to a Lounge which is available for use by the local community.
