Our Covid19 risk assessment is available at the bottom of this page. (right hand side). We have also added the following:

In July 2021 in light of the easing of restrictions in step 4, and the end of mandatory regulations, the church council advises an ongoing cautious approach to reopening, enjoying the right to freedom of choice and expression, but recommending safe practice of continued hand washing, space and mask, continued ventilation of buildings and recommendation of perhaps singing fewer hymns (or fewer verses) quietly, seated and masked — especially at current high community infection. We ask that all users of the building respect this.

"Worshipping, Witnessing, Serving"

The largest Methodist church in the town of Bishop Auckland is opposite the hospital on Cockton Hill Road. It is open on a Monday to Friday between 10a.m. and 12noon. Why not pop in to make yourself known, have a chat or a cuppa and why not say a prayer in the sanctuary?

There is a regular weekly programme including Bible Study on Mondays, midweek Communion 9.30am Thursdays, and also other meetings such as Carpet Bowls, Luncheon Club and Homemakers.

It is a popular venue for Weddings and Baptisms. The range of different halls and meeting room space is used by different outside community groups.
